Egon’s yoga journey began in the late’90s with the study of Hatha Yoga, which quickly became a lifelong passion. His path has continuously evolved, influenced by his studies in Naturopathy and his work as a Zen Shiatsu therapist. This led him to a deeper exploration of anatomy, culminating in extensive training in Yin Yoga.
Egon’s goal is to share a yoga practice that promotes optimal health on every level—body, mind, and spirit. His teaching style is both deep and gentle, blending the wisdom of ancient Indian philosophy with the Chinese meridian energy system. His classes offer a balance between Yang, alignment-focused Hatha Yoga, and Yin sequences with long-held postures. Pranayama and meditation are integral parts of his teachings, creating a holistic and mindful experience for students in both classes and retreats.
Hatha Yoga,
the Yoga of Sun and Moon, is the most popular Yoga style in the Western world today.
Hatha yoga, intelligently practiced, has extraordinary, beneficial effects on many levels, physically, mentally, and spiritually. As it has been handed down and expanded through the centuries, it has evolved, continually, into the most complete and sophisticated system of physical culture, health, and well-being ever known to humanity. The basic practice of Hatha yoga is “asana” which means body posture, with its main beneficial effects on the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, digestive, endocrine and nervous systems. Further “pranayama”, the understanding and cultivation of the breath/respiratory system is part of Hatha yoga. (described in the next window).
Finally, when the body is healthy, vigorous and balanced, and the mind is at peace, it all leads to “meditation”.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a complementary style of practice to more active styles of postural yoga. The intentions of Yin Yoga are to stimulate, strengthen, and revive tissues of the body that are not emphasized to the same degree as in active styles of yoga, hence its complementary nature.
In essence, this approach to practice targets the connective tissue of the body, and the deeper meridians (energy channels). Yin Yoga is with its slow relaxed pace and meditative quality, has a revitalising and refreshing effect, due to the deep work on the
Egon has been working as Zen Shiatsu therapist since 2004.
Zen Shiatsu is a bodywork method based on traditional Chinese medicine, which provide clients with a revitalizing feeling and experience. Egon uses touch, comfortable pressure and manipulative techniques to adjust the body’s physical structure and balance its energy flow.”
Egon integrates sound and vibration in his bodywork sessions, using instruments such as tuning forks, tibetan bowls and other instruments with the aim of modulating and realigning the frequencies of our bodies.
Sound Therapy is based on the laws of the universe by using vibration. Nicola Tesla said, "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration."
Everything is energy, so therefore everything is vibrating, has a unique frequency and color. We get out of balance from many things such as, life events, negative thinking, pollution & unresolved emotions. Sound therapy can eliminate the noise or static in our system & bring us back to our unique & powerful frequency.
It makes sense that since we are vibrational beings, we can use vibration (sound therapy) to heal.
We can use sacred sound techniques to restore the balance and thus allow the body to do what it knows best.”
“Physics teaches that life is composed of atoms which contain protons and electrons. These are electrically and magnetically charged particles of energy. They are in constant motion - at times more so than at others, making their movements audible. The sound vibrations that physics speaks of are connected to the vibrations or undulations of atoms and molecules in the air…Sound vibrations set the air molecules in motion.
Every cell within our body is a sound resonator. It has the capability of responding to any other sound outside of the body. Every organ, in which cells of like vibrations have gathered to form that organ, will respond as a group to particular sound vibrations. The various systems in the body will also respond to sound vibrations, as will various emotional, mental and spiritual states of consciousness. The human body is a bio-electrical system. The bio-electrical energy is created in varying frequencies through muscular actions and can be altered, strengthened or balanced through the use of scared sound. This occurs through the quality of resonance. We can use scared sound techniques to restore the blance and thus allow the body to do what it knows best.”

Extended Bio:
Based in Italy, Egon grew up in a small village in the Dolomite Alps. Early on, he set out to explore nature and spent most of his youth in the mountains. A sporting injury led him to a holistic healing physician in Australia. It was this chance meeting that awoke Egon’s attention to the inner and spiritual worlds. After extensive travels through South America, India and Nepal, Egon decided to leave his family’s business in Italy and pursue his passion for healing. He committed to a 4-year education in Germany and became a certified Zen Shiatsu therapist and naturopath (Heilpraktiker).
After the study years in Munich, in 2004 he moved to Zürich/Switzerland where he opened his own Zen Shiatsu studio, offering one to one sessions and meditation classes for small groups. In 2009, he completed his first Hatha Yoga teacher training in India, and started teaching in various Yoga schools in Zürich and other European cities. Along his yogic path, Egon has been inspired by Anusara Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Pranayama, Bhakti Yoga, Nada Yoga - all of which continue to play an important role in his life and teaching.
